Student Reporter: L. Johnson

October 2, 2019

At Jowell Elementary, we give our Jaguars many opportunities to develop leadership skills. One leadership opportunity we have is the ability to be a class Student Reporter. All of our Jaguars were given the opportunity to sign up to be a Student Reporter at the beginning of the school year. At the beginning of the week, the Jaguar Student Reporter is given a folder with a question for each day and instructions to answer the question in a complete sentence, keeping an eye toward a capital letter at the beginning and punctuation at the end. The folder is turned in at the end of the week and the Student Reporter becomes a published author on our website!

Last week, our Jaguar Student Reporter was from one of our 5th grade classes. Read below to see what L. Johnson had to say about their week!

Monday, September 23rd
The most important thing about my teacher is she loves Black Panther. And her class and Art.

Tuesday, September 24th
Today my teacher challenged me with ELA.

Wednesday, September 25th
What would you have changed about lunch today to make it better?
To change Lunch today is the snack. I wish we don't have to (pay) for snack.

Thursday, September 26th
What made me curious today in PE is the red and Blue mat in the gym

Friday, September 27th
The nicest thing that happened to me today is one of my class mates gave me a Lukcy turtle.

Thanks for your report, L. Johnson! Check back next week for our next Jaguar Student Reporter entry!
